Makeshift Roof

So, I just guest starred in my friend Amanda's video blog of the day and decided to go on the subject of living on your own. College can end up being a scary or amazing place of opportunity. It is what you make of it.

When you want to live on your own there are definitely things to consider.
  1. Make sure those you surround yourself with are compatible in a living situation. (Can't stand them? Are they not trustworthy? Then they probably wont make good roommates.)
  2. Realize that money WILL be spent. Even with living situations where the payment is through the school's tuition. Groceries, extras to fill up the apartment space, etc. add up. Make sure you manage money well. (If you have your car you'll also need to pay for gas.)
  3. Cooking will become a large part of daily life- so read up.

College is the time of our lives. To experience everything, to learn as much as possible, to be out on our own and become adults. We can begin to grow up into the mature people we always looked up to wen we were younger.

Quote of the Day:
“Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves... for growing up.”
