Nice to Meet You, Not

When you make a friend, an acquaintance, an enemy, or a love interest, it all starts at the first impression. I believe that first impressions are the most important part of meeting another person. What goes through your mind when meeting someone...the way they look? how they act? how they look at you?

People are always worried about being judged and about being perceived differently when met for the first time. What do we do? Should we act differently? Should we conform to how the other person may want us to seem? We are always hoping everyone accepts us for all that we are, faults and all. But at the same time we are aware there is a common way to act in front of a new person. We are to be friendly, upfront, and honest. However, most of the time honesty doesn't always sine through, but we still keep that hope that we are being loved for everything we represent.

I believe that a lot of how others see us comes from how we see ourselves. We cannot hope for others to like us if we do not like ourselves. Our personal lives with ourselves needs a base before we can ever hope to be loved by others. The outside world can always tell how we really are inside, because we unknowingly broadcast it. We provoke how we are ultimately treated by the outside world.

What do you think?
