Inception is no Deception

Hope everyone is having a great day so far. Today's post will feature the Top Grossing Movie in America at this time: Inception. Critics from all over are going crazy about the film praising the ingenuity and level of creativity put into the storyline.
The film follows a group of individuals who lead a team which dive into the minds of prominent people and retrieve their hidden secrets and information. Leonardo DiCaprio leads the all-star cast and delivers on of his best roles in a long time.
I found the movie to be an amazing film and a crazy adventure for all watchers. Even though it had to be intensely paid attention to by movie-goers so they did not get lost, it was a mesmerizing piece.
The name of the film was chosen well, as for its usage in the story line. The cast was also chosen well, given Ellen Page a chance to show a serious side to separate her from the comedy field that Juno had set into place. Not only did she do a phenomenal job she made the right move by diving into the serious role. It seems like there is a small area of wiggle room for people to move between the action and comedy roles. Hopefully she does not decide to jump into a horror film because the horror industry itself seems to create a quicksand-like state. Once an actor or actress jumps into a horror movie role it is very rare to have them transition into any other role besides another horror movie or somehow end up on the SyFy Channel.
The movie was a complete success and deserves a big DVD release. On a funny note though, I'm not a fan of it but, out of all the 3D movies coming out lately I'm surprised this was not included in the mix. It may have actually been a good choice to make 3D.

Please Comment on this post and let me know what YOU thought of the movie. It'd be interesting to see other opinions.

Quote of the Day:
Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.- Leonardo DiCaprio (Inception)

This is a very interesting article regarding the film Inception found in the LA Times. It talks about how the film looks compared to other great Heist films and the web that fills director, Christopher Nolan's, mind.

  1. Love the inception write up. By far Leo's best role yet.

  2. I actually hated Leonardo DiCaprio in most of his movies recently...but for some reason, I felt that he was really really good in this movie. He pulled it off well. The movie was insanely good

  3. I'm just reiterating what everyone's said: I am by no means a Leo fan... nor have I ever been, but even I will admit he and the rest of the cast did an awesome job with this movie. Loved everything about it!
